John Hoberty
Born:
Illegitimate son of Merian, the late Lord Hoberty, John was raised to be a monk. On the death of his father, however, he left the order and embarked on a secular life, firstly as private secretary to the Lord Regent, Delan, Lord Anderon, and then more recently as tutor to Decuma Anderon Maun, the son of Atropos, the late Duke of Aquila, and his first wife, Nira.
This post entails join working at House Lagiran, for Nira subseqntly married again - to Farquar, Lord Lagoran.

The last Lord Hoberty, Merian is believed (on the evidence of Dr Montgomery Hoberty) to have been murdered by his wife, Gylda.

Gylda, Lady Hoberty (deceased)
Born:
Gylda, the wife of Merian, Lord Hoberty, was accused of his murder and fled into hiding.
In 3509, Lord Rostay, acting as an intermediary to Cardinal Maun, convinced Lady
Hoberty and Stone and his brother to return to Aquila City
Lagoran spies attacked the house where Lord Rostay had hidden Lady Hoberty and her sons. They fled the city but Lady Hoberty died in the escape. Stone and his brother were presumed dead.

Lord Stone Hoberty (missing, presumed dead)
Born:
Believed to have died with his mother in the escape from Lord Rostay's house, Stone is in fact living in a remotes, barely-terraformed part of Aquila with those few retainers who still hold by his line.
